Do you provide consultations prior to our event?
All consultations for weddings are free. In fact, I hope to meet with you several times prior to your wedding in order to get a feel for what kind of images you want to capture. Each Wedding is tailored to the individual, and though my style will be a constant, the direction is entirely in your hands.

What kind of equipment do you carry?
I carry two canon DSL professional cameras, as well as several attachable flashes and a variety of lenses, from my wide angle to my telephoto.

What role does the 2nd Photographer play?
They come prepared to shoot all the extras, and to capture small moments that may be happening while I am shooting formals or bride/groom elsewhere. This ensures more moments are captured.

How long will it take to receive the final product?
I guarantee your images, books, and prints get to you in 1-8 weeks. Delivery is dependent upon final payment. Custom items, such as albums may take up to 8 weeks due to design layout and approval, as well as the time it takes to get the item and then mail it to you. I typically finish editing your images in 1-2 weeks and if you are getting an album, I begin designing the layout immediately after that.

Are the images retouched?
I hand pick 200-500 of the best photographs, selecting a wide variety. I then color correct, sharpen and manually retouch each image as needed. I also create duplicate black and white versions of each image.

How am I allowed to use the images once I have them?
You are allowed to print as many prints as you want for personal use only. You are allowed to put them on your websites, your facebook, or your myspace freely. You may not sell them or otherwise profit from them, and you may not pass them off as your own. That’s it, have fun with them!

What if something happens to my DVD?
I have DVD duplicates, and your event is saved on my hard drive. I will keep these for a period of 2 years, and if during that time you request a DVD copy I will charge a fee of $10 per DVD.

Is there a booking fee?
I require a $500 non-refundable deposit to be credited towards your balance in order to book a wedding with me.

What kind of Albums do you offer?
All albums are made to order specifically to your needs. You can get almost in size in a variety of cover options, including vegan. You can select the style of album, whether you want a traditional matted album, or a flush mount album with images that span out to the edge of the paper, a more modern approach. You can also get a variety of glass, metal, and unique cover options, and image wrap covers. The list goes on, please inquire for more information and to see samples.

Do you charge a travel fee?
I do not charge mileage for anything in the immediate Richmond area. Anything outside a 30 mile radius will be charged a flat fee of $150, within VA. Anything outside of VA will be quoted on an individual basis. If you purchase an unlimited package the fee drops to roughly $30.

How would you describe your style?
My background is in black and white fine art photography. I always try to shoot with natural light when I can, and am comfortable using flash in combination with natural light. I document the moments as they happen, from the action to the intimate details. My style is photojournalistic, capturing a series of images throughout the day that tells a story. I shoot with a variety of lenses, creating an array of images from wide angle action shots to close up details.

Do you require a shot list?
If you would like formal shots I will request a shot list with specific names to ensure the process runs smoothly. I also encourage you to inform me of any specific shots you are interested in.

Do you have liability insurance?
Yes, I do. In case anything may happen where I may be liable I do have coverage.

Can I book you without a 2nd Photographer at a discounted rate?
The 2nd photographer is a complimentary inclusion, and cannot be excluded at a discounted rate. If you are having a small ceremony and only require several hours of coverage you can also book me by the hour at $175/hour.
