Katherine and Rob / VA Wedding Photographer
I photographed Beth and Jeff a while back during their engagement session. They are so laid back and natural, and I knew their wedding was going to be a blast. I absolutely loved how towards the end of the ceremony the sun came out and the sky stayed dark and ominous. It made for some really fun pictures on the dock. Enjoy!
So I’m pretty much randomly posting weddings and other shoots. A while back I posted several photos from this wedding, but here are more for you to check out. These two got hitched right here in Richmond in the Fan. They were so much fun to work with!
These two are so sweet and compliment each other so well. Did I mention they have great taste? So much fun to photograph! They were married this past June in beautiful South Boston, VA. I had never been there before, and was pleasantly surprised to find a quaint, historic, and just adorable town. It reminded me a lot of Staunton, VA. The church and the venue were only a few miles apart, loved that. We wanted to take more photos outside, but it was SOOO hot!
So I just got some more film back. I have to say that I love fuji film infinitely better then kodak, as I just tried the kodak portra and much prefer the fuji pro400H much better. It has rich color that is naturally saturated, and gives great detail in the highlights and I LOVE what it does to skin. The first three are fuji, and the latter 3 are kodak. Not bad, but ok for a portrait film. I have a box of 220 (32 frames instead of the usual 16)…so there will be more of images shot with this film to come in the future.
These two got married back in July. This was such a fun wedding to shoot and I absolutely loved all of Katherine’s Decor. Succulents are awesome all year round! The ceremony took place at the UVA chapel in Charlottesville, and the reception followed at the King family Vineyard. Bocce ball on the lawn made for some great fun during cocktail hour. I also loved that instead of doing cake they had funnel cake and candied apples for all the guests.
It’s been so incredibly long since I have posted, but here is a beautiful wedding from July. I know Mike as a friend of my boyfriend’s through work. It seams like eons ok since we first spoke about photographing his wedding at their company Christmas party. It was a crisp beautiful July morning when I arrived at the golf course to get a few of Mike and his father in law on the green. Apparently Mike had a terrific game…I know nothing about golf, but I did manage to get around in a golf cart all to myself, fun stuff! Then off to hair and make up with Kelly. It was a really fun shoot. I love the amazing and tender affection they have towards each other and had so much fun photographing them:)
I’ve been on a little bit of a blogging haetus, as I’ve been deep into wedding season. I have so much to blog! I’ll start today with Gen and Beau’s VA beach wedding in early July. They had a true beach wedding, with every last detail down, and lots of star fish, form Gen’s sandals, to the fans and menues. I also really loved the pyramid gifts for the guest so they could take the beach with them. They were so much fun to work with. I wish you guys the best!
