So how much do I love photographing on this family farm?! So fabulous. The second half of this shoot was on a friend’s farm, and the first part we did some edgy stuff down on the canal walk. I used a lot of film later on in the day, and I LOVE how they came out!

These two were so much fun to photograph! Their natural chemistry was so awesome to capture. We started around the canal walk, but the best ones were the fall type photos shot in Church hill. The leaves were so orange and the evening light really enhanced that. I look forward to photographing their wedding next August!

So it’s been SOOOOOOO long since I’ve posted to my blog. There is just so much I haven’t posted, so over the next few months of winter I hope to blogging a bunch to play catch up. This was such a fun engagement shoot. We started downtown near canal walk, and ended up at the new gorgeous VMFA and monument avenue. These last shots were my favorite. The light was beautiful and Nick and Stacy were being just adorable.

These two are so much fun to photograph. The weather had been so cold for March, the sun came out enough for us to shoot. We started off at Kubu Kuba, then wandered around near monument ave. The whole neighborhood is so adorable! I even shot some film that day! I’ll post those when I get them back from the lab.

These two have such amazing chemistry, and combined they are very photogenic together. Here’s another engagement session from back when. They just got married on New Year’s Eve this year, what a cool idea, right?

Melissa and Travis just got married in September, but here is their lovely engagement session shot in downtown Richmond and Church Hill. We were totally slammed with a severe Thunderstorm less than halfway through the session. It just wouldn’t let up. We had as much fun with the rain and umbrellas as we could before we decided to schedule a reshoot. Sometimes you’re just at the mercy of Mother Nature. The second part of the shoot was scheduled for the Bottom of Downtown Richmond. Richmond is so full of diverse and fun locations, finding the old Main Street Train Station Entrance was awesome, and I definitely want to shoot more there soon.

In my downtime I’ve been doing lots of things, one of which is figuring out what advertising works for me and where the best place is to reach my potential bride. I’m realizing also that I need reviews for people take me seriously, and I can totally understand why a bride would want a recommendation from another bride about her future photographer. If you want to write a review for me with wedding wire just follow the link below:

I’m looking forward to the wedding season to start up again and start doing more portraits and engagement shoots soon as well. I have a portrait session today, so keep your eyes peeled for some new work coming soon.
